ESTABLISHED IN 2013, CROSSFIT PORIRUA WAS THE FIRST CROSSFIT AFFILIATE IN OUR AREA.
Planting our roots in a small warehouse, our community expanded and moved to 21 Prosser Street. With longtime member and coach Mitch Bernard taking over in 2019, we began to grow our Porirua site into Pac Fitness, the home of our CrossFit affiliate and Olympic Weightlifting Club - Porirua Barbell.
We started with the vision of bringing together the best coaches our community has to offer. Creating a space where, regardless of fitness experience, you can strive to reach your goals, no matter how big or small. We have an unrelenting approach to offering the best programming in the industry. Drawing from our many years of experience, our programming ranges from CrossFit and general physical preparedness to more specialised areas such as Olympic Lifting. Lastly we want to offer our members all the tools for the job, outfitting our gyms with the highest quality equipment.
With the success of Porirua, Pac Fitness expanded into the Wellington region offering the same values. With senior coach Michael Lagatule joining as Director, his vast experience in the fitness industry is a keystone to our community's success. At the foundation of any good gym is a base of outstanding members - ours are second to none. Our mission is to create a community of like-minded individuals, committed to working hard and providing long-lasting fitness results.

Our coaches come from many backgrounds. From elite athletes, rugby, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, physiotherapy & CrossFit; its our job to pass on our knowledge each day. With a combined total of 80 years experience, our team is committed to delivering the highest quality coaching our region has to offer. We also practice what we preach. Professional, relatable and hard-working, you're just as likely to see them coaching a class as you are to see them in one.
